Chatham Student Engagement
The Center for Women's Entrepreneurship (CWE) creates economic opportunities through entrepreneurial counseling, education and training. Through this programming, it provides opportunities for all students (regardless of gender) to hone their entrepreneurial skills and develop new business ideas.
The Women Business Leaders Breakfast Series is designed for business leaders and entrepreneurs. Chatham Students (regardless of gender) attend at no cost to hear prominent nonprofit, business, and community leaders from the region.
The Prototyping and Design Lab offers free, hands-on workshops and hours for all students (regardless of gender) interested in designing and prototyping physical products. The Lab provides access to digital fabrication tools in an inclusive environment to inspire creativity and innovation.
The Center provides free one-on-one business counseling and technical assistance available for all students (regardless of gender) interested in starting or growing a business as well as entrepreneurial training programs, webinars, and workshops.
Internships at the Center: The Center for Women's Entrepreneurship provides exciting opportunities for students to develop and implement programs that assist entrepreneurs through mentorship, education, and networking. Students develop marketing and event management skills and learn the daily operations of a business office while honing entrepreneurial skills critical for successful graduates. Available positions are posted on the Chatham Handshake Portal.
Internships with local businesses: student internships with CWE Client businesses allow Chatham students to gain valuable work experience and networking opportunities, and in turn, provide businesses with crucial skillsets and project assistance. CWE works to connect interested business owners with Chatham's Career Development Office.
